VoiceGig exists to encourage users (aka You) to access, upload and comment on speeches. Anyone can access and upload speeches from anywhere, about anything – that’s legal and not downright offensive.
The VoiceGig site is based on trust. We trust you to be responsible, to enjoy the huge range of views and knowledge that are on offer and not to abuse these by taking advantage of the open and collaborative nature of the site.

Content and Material

If offensive material or comments are brought to our attention we will take them down right away, no argument. The same goes for speeches which are in any way in violation of copyright. If we take down any material you have uploaded we will inform you of this email and ask you not to repeat this act. We operate a three strikes and you are out policy: if we have to take down material you have posted, either as a speech or as a comment to a speech three times then we will cancel your membership of the community.

In simple terms, don’t set out to cause offence. Don’t upload a speech that you do not have authorisation to use. Don’t use the site for spam purposes. You may not upload a speech or make comments that are illegal, infringing or in any way defamatory or obscene. We also prohibit the use of the site for any advertising, promotion, or impersonation. If you wish to contact us or make an objection please use our online enquiry form.

Having said all this one of the key reasons for creating this site is to develop free speech in the internet age, so we encourage the broadest range of views and we believe in a world beyond free speech where you can say what you want (as long as it is not illegal) and what matters is the extent to which you can build a conversation around those views. So have fun with the site. Leave loads of feedback about the speeches and enter into the conversation about them with all those others across the world.
